cottage weekend

So, finnish cottage weekend! No, in fact I should say german cottage weekend. 11 germans, 4 french, 1 hungarian and me. Therefore, 2 and a half days of intensive german!! But apart from some people speaking german to me sometimes (completey useless, obviously. another thing to do when I get home - let's try to beat GuimarĂ£es Rosa in the number of languages), no problem at all, nice german people! We left on friday afternoon, and that day can be remembered firstly for the very good surprise that the cottage was huge, new and clean, and that there was enough space for all of us. Then, after eating, a looot of sauna (and I still don't exactly love it, maybe it's just not made for brazillian people) and very stupidly going into a frozen lake after it - which is still better then lying in the snow. After some warming up (with some assistence of fireplace/ more sauna), what do we do? We jump into the lake again, of course!!
Saturday started off late with a perfect brunch, and it was a laaazy day, but with sunshine and a lovely walk on the frozen lake from the previous night.... just perfectly in peace... waiting for the guys that were attemping to fish (with some success, it must be said), and watching the law students studying piles of paper and being again thankful that I chose journalism as my degree. Saturdayt night, again, sauna, shots, lake, sauna, cooold shower (but what can you expect with 18 people in a cottage anyway?) and really nice home made pizza... and then listening to saturday night fever, grease and aaall the tacky music that exists... on Sunday, another huge brunch, very competitive game, cleaning up and rushing for the one chance we had to come home (yes, 1 bus a day). But we all made it back, safe and sound.
All and all, perfect weekend!! and now I can say that yes, I was IN the lake and ON the lake, with less than 12 hours difference... not an everyday experience...
