shut uuuuuuuup!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know that saying (well, maybe not a saying, but I know they say it Bambi, so that's good enough) that goes: : "if you have nothing smart or nice to say, just don't say anything at all". My question is, why don't people take that more seriously? or at least think about what they are saying? why? why? whyyyy???

when the world is falling down.....

Can you believe this picture is real????? these are not toy trucks, incredibly enough. They are expanding ou subway in Sao Paulo, and it collapsed. Just like that. And this is what happened. So far, they haven't found any victims, let's hope it stays that way. Apart from the city's traffic being hell on earth, just look at the neighbourhood. I studied there. And now it's almost being swallowed by the earth. Kind of like Sunnydale.

Blood, tears and diamonds

Five minutes into the movie, a couple walked out of the room. Now, I ask of you: what do you expect when you walk into a movie called "The Blood Diamond"? Do you want it to be sweet and pure?

As expected, the movie is a punch in the stomach. Children brainwashed into being assassins, people fighting for their lives, people just waiting for the problem to get to them, people that only see their side of the issue and just choose to take advantage of it - why even bother to help? the problem is just too big, too many people... so what do you do?

Leonardo DiCaprio gives an excellent, fantastic, oh-my-god performance, followed by Djimon Houston, who is always perfect in his parts, no exceptions. It's sad, long, violent - but worth it. even if just to see the actors and how does it work when all you do is use each other. Can you build something of it, learn? Or can you just hope to survive? Can a system so corrupt work any other way? Can hope and life survive all the blood, war and greediness? Can a movie about Africa surpass the cliches and the numbness we all have when going to the movies and actually mean something to a cause? I have no idea, but I have never felt guilty about a diamond before.

hey people
Sorry for the lack of updates, but i have just been too lazy to do so. I'm sure you have survived. But now that I am looking on the internet, so much has happened!!! Justind and Cameron broke up, Paris Hilton displayed her stupidity once more, Britney... well, I'm sure she did something. But what really happened in the world? i am absolutely sure something did - like me managing to burn my hands, only god knows how - but right now... let's just talk movies.

next year, baby....

Next year, things are gonna change
Gonna drink less beer, and start all over again
Gonna read more books, gonna keep up with the news
Gonna learn how to cook, spend less money on shoes
I’ll pay my bills on time,and file my mail away, everyday
Only drink the finest wine,and call my Gran every Sunday
Resolutions, baby they come and go
Will I do any of these things?

Next year.... everything will always be next year, no? A new diet, a new look, a new love, a new life. It’s like that one night will change everything, whether the things you want depend on you or on the good will of the universe. We always believe… that everything will start, end, improve, or just drastically change, beginning January 1st. So, I wish all of you a happy new year, and a brand new life for those who always dream of it.
